The Lewis Chessmen were initially a personal project during the Covid Lockdown of 2021. Using traditional Pen and Ink techniques and inspired by the weathered and jaded looks on the chessmens faces they were drawn and initially added to a series of memes called "Lockdown Moods" the images have subsequently been used in teaching, on apparel and is currently being incorporated in the branding of a craft gin.
